The SDSU Rodeo Club has approximately 100 members and is one of the largest organizations
on campus. The club is affiliated with the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, which is
represented on more than 200 college and university campuses throughout the United States.
The club takes part in and sponsors many activities, including intramural sports, dances, pizza parties,
physical conditioning, bowling trips and much more. The highlight each year is the "Jackrabbit Stampede",
an annual spring rodeo sponsored by the club.
The rodeo club has produced more than 40 rodeos at SDSU. The performances are held Friday evening,
Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday afternoon. This is one of the fastest moving rodeos in the state
and features top-quality PRCA rodeo stock, bullfighters and judges. All club members take an active part
in producing, managing and promoting the rodeo.
